How We Help Patients and Survivors

Treatment ends, but the side effects often don’t. We partner with women and men during and after breast cancer treatment, especially as regular visits slow down and questions start to pile up.

Our private 1:1 guidance follows three simple steps:

Validate. We listen first. What you’re feeling is real, and it matters.

Educate. You learn what’s behind changes like pain, stiffness, tightness, lymphedema, and fatigue, what may help, and when to call your care team.

Empower. You leave with a clear plan and next steps, so you can move with confidence and get back to the life you love.

Professional Education & Consulting

We train fitness and healthcare professionals to work confidently and competently with breast cancer survivors - whose treatment-related changes like muscle tightness, weakness, and deconditioning make them distinctly different from general clients and deserving of specialized care.

Fitness pros learn risk-informed decision-making: when to progress, when to pause, and when to refer.

Healthcare providers learn what questions to ask to catch complications early and trigger the right referrals.

Expert education and consulting grounded in 20+ years of clinical leadership and doctoral-level research.

20+ Years Advancing Breast Cancer Recovery & Survivorship Care

Meet Dr. Renata Braudy

Dr. Renata Braudy, PhD, PT, MA, MS, OCS, CLT, is a nationally recognized leader in breast cancer rehabilitation and recovery with more than 23 years of oncology expertise. She believes quality of life after breast cancer should be an expectation, not an afterthought, and she has spent her career making that possible.

Dr. Braudy holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science, with research focused on shoulder function after breast cancer treatment. Her published work covers axillary web syndrome (cording), the effects of surgery and radiation on the shoulder, and quality of life in survivorship.

She has presented her research nationally and founded and scaled two breast cancer rehabilitation programs across three states, working side by side with surgical, radiation, and medical oncology teams.

But her work has always started with listening. Dr. Braudy has sat with thousands of survivors in the moments when they felt most uncertain, and she knows that real recovery begins when people feel heard. Her approach is simple: validate what you’re feeling, educate you about what’s happening in your body, and empower you with a clear plan forward.

Today, she serves survivors and professionals nationwide. She helps survivors move through recovery with clarity and confidence, and gives healthcare,  fitness professionals, and digital wellness programs the knowledge to better serve the people who need them most.

Common Challenges After Breast Cancer Treatment

After treatment ends, many survivors face lasting effects from surgery and radiation. Scars can restrict movement, joints may ache, and swelling may develop. Lymphedema requires skilled treatment and gentle drainage to reduce symptoms, restore mobility, and support long-term recovery, which often persists for years.

Targeted Solutions for Post-Treatment

With help from our knowledgeable team, we’ll guide you through the next phases of survivorship. When you understand your risk, you can make informed decisions about movement and recovery.

GLOWING TESTIMONIALS

Trusted by Survivors and Clinicians

“When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, I was obviously so concerned and overwhelmed with the road ahead of me that I didn’t know where to find support. Another physical therapist I had been working with for an unrelated issue recommended Renata, so I booked an appointment. When my surgeon also shared her name, I felt confident about my choice.

I had NO idea the depth to which Renata could be of help through the entire treatment process, from surgery to chemo to radiation to follow-up surgery. At each step, she explained how I could help myself through the process and did so with such care and reassurance…Whenever I hear of a new diagnosis, my first piece of support is to suggest working with Renata. She has been integral to my healing process.”

“I met Renata at the very beginning of my journey, and from the start, she understood the potential impact breast cancer treatment could have on shoulder mobility. As a participant in her PhD research study, she was able to closely follow my progress and provide thoughtful guidance, effective exercises, and practical tips throughout my treatment—always with careful attention to my lymphatic system and reassurance that what I was experiencing was a normal complication of breast cancer treatment…After completing radiation, Renata played an essential role in restoring my mobility and helping me return to a more normal, functional lifestyle.

She listens with intention, leads with compassion, and brings exceptional knowledge and skill to her work. Renata’s personalized approach truly sets her apart, and I am incredibly grateful for the care and results she provided.”
